Mataram ( indon. Kota Mataram ) - a city in Indonesia , the administrative center of the province of West Nusa Tengara [1] . Located on the west coast of the island of Lombok . The largest city in the province with a population of more than 400 thousand people (according to the 2010 census).

In addition to performing the functions of the capital, Mataram is the political, educational, industrial and business center of the province.
Mataram unites three large areas: Ampenan, the old port area; Mataram, government and office center; Sacranegara, the main commercial area. The districts are separate cities, but are under the same management.
