History
The original name of 6th Street has been known since 1798. It was one of eight number streets in Koltovskaya Sloboda . Since 1822 it was named 6th Spasskaya Street , given along Bolshaya Spasskaya Street (now Red Cadet Street). There were options for 6th Spassky Lane , 6th Koltovskaya Street [1] .
The modern name Gdovskaya street was given on January 20, 1858 in the city of Gdov in a series of streets of the Petersburg side, named for the settlements of the St. Petersburg province [1] .
