I established two world records at a distance of 3,000 meters with obstacles : on August 14, 1956 at the Games of the Peoples of the USSR in Moscow - 8: 39.8 [3] and on July 21, 1958 in Tallinn - 8: 35.5. Silver medalist of the European Championship in 1958 (8: 38.8).

Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor .
