It is located 32 km south of the city of Torzhok , on the right bank of the river Darkness , the highway "Torzhok - Vysokoe - Bernovo - Staritsa " runs through the village.
The population according to the 2002 census is 74 people, 34 men, 40 women.
History
In 1859, in the state-owned village of Skomorokhovo, Staritsky Uyezd, 32 yards, 230 residents [1] . In 1886 - 60 yards, 350 inhabitants; the village is part of the Dar parish and belongs to the Glukhovsky parish. According to the 1920 census in Skomorokhovo of 527 inhabitants, it is included in the Kunganovsky volost.
In 1940, in the village of Skomorokhovo, 110 yards, it is part of the Glukhovsky Village Council of the Vysokovsky District of the Kalinin Region .
During World War II, the village was occupied in October 1941, liberated in December of that year. At the fronts (1941-1945) 25 natives of the village were killed [2] .
In 1997 - 28 households, 65 residents.
