Biography
Margaret LaVelle Fitzpatrick was born in Birmingham , Alabama , in 1911. After graduating from college, she enrolled at the University of Alabama, and at the same time took part in a nationwide selection at Paramount Pictures , which ultimately led her to the movies. Her debut took place in 1933, and she achieved real success by the end of the decade, thanks to the roles of fatal women, intriguers and villains in opposition to the main characters. The most striking were her roles in the paintings “ My servant Godfrey ” (1936), “The Door to the Stage” (1937) and “ My Beloved Spouse ” (1940).
In 1948, after the third marriage, Patrick left the shooting in the cinema. In 1957, together with her husband Cornwell Jackson, she became the producer of the popular TV series “ Perry Mason ”, which appeared on screens in 1966. The actress died in Los Angeles from leukemia at the age of 69 years.
