Judging by the annals, Petril received the post of posed by Prince Vsevolod Mstislavich at the same time that Nifont became Novgorod Archbishop on January 1, 1131, on St. Vasily [1] . For a short time in 1132 , the Prince of Novgorod was Svyatopolk Mstislavich , and then again he was Vsevolod Mstislavich until the end of Petrila's posadnosti. Prince Vsevolod several times went to chud — for the first time in 1131 unsuccessfully, the second time he managed to take the city of Yuryev on February 9, 1133. In 1134, Prince Vsevolod went to Suzdal together with the Novgorodians, as he wanted to put his brother there, but returned back. On the way back, Vsevolod Mstislavich removed Petril from posadniki and gave it to Ivank Pavlovich [2] .
Assembly Seals
Four assembly seals of the Petrila posadnik were found [3] . The seals contain the full-length image of the Apostle Peter , the right hand is in a blessing gesture, and holds the keys in the left [4] .
Zhdanov battle
Petrila, along with the Novgorodians, took part in the war of Prince Vsevolod Mstislavich with the Suzdal, which began on January 31, 1134. In the battle on Zhdanovskaya Mountain on January 26, 1135, many Novgorodians and Suzdal people were killed, including Petrila and the posadnik Ivanko Pavlovich [5] .
