Geography
It is located 89 km east of Vologda on the right bank of the river Sukhona , at the confluence of the river Vekshenga . The distance by road to the district center Shuisky - 33 km, to the center of the municipality of Turovets - 42 km. The nearest populated areas are Voltash , Fidget , Lower Pochinok .

According to the census in 2002, there was no resident population in the village [2] .
History
Vostsheng's graveyard was mentioned in 1137 in the charter of the Novgorod prince Svyatoslav Olgovich . In the "Genealogy of the Vologda Village" it is indicated that this item laid out is called the Vorobyevo village in the 16th century. In the documents of the XVI - XVII centuries, it is also referred to as "the village of Vekshenga, and Vorobyevo identity." In the census books of the 70–80s of the 17th century, the “Vekshen [g] uluts” of the Vekshengi volost of Totemsky uyezd [3] is noted.
