Battering Ram (from the English - “Taran”) is the fifth studio album of the German power metal band Iron Savior , released on June 18, 2004 . The disc includes twelve new songs, among which there is not a single cover version. This is the group’s first non-concept album.

Style, reviews from critics
Alex Henderson, a critic of Allmusic.com , rated the album three and a half points out of five. In his review, he pointed out that the group continues to play in the same style that was characteristic of it throughout the 1990s, based on the traditions of classical heavy metal, so the disc is certainly predictable and does not pretend to be original. Nevertheless, it fully reveals the musical talents of the band members and is able to please those metal music fans for whom bands of the 1970s and 1980s are standards of sound.
