Diocese of Bogor ( Latin: Dioecesis Bogorensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Bogor , Indonesia . The Diocese of Bogor is a member of the Metropolitanate of Jakarta . The Cathedral of the Diocese of Bogor is the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary .

History
On December 9, 1948, Pope Pius XII issued the Quo in insula log , which he established the apostolic prefecture of Sukabumi, isolating it from the Apostolic Vicariate of Batavia (today - the Archdiocese of Jakarta ). The center of the apostolic prefecture was located in the city of Sukabumi .
In 1957, the city of Bogor was transferred from the Apostolic Vicariate of Jakarta to the Apostolic Prefecture of Sukabumi.
On January 3, 1961, Pope John XXIII issued the bull Quod Christus , which transformed the apostolic prefecture of Sukabumi into the diocese of Bogor, while the department was moved from the city of Sukabumi to Bogor.
