Semenovo (Moscow region)

Semenovo is a village in the Pavlovo-Posad district of the Moscow region of Russia . It is part of the rural settlement Averkievskoye . The population is 101 [1] people. (2010).

Population

According to the All-Russian Census , in 2002, 159 people lived in the village (76 men and 83 women); the predominant nationality is Russians (92%) [2] . According to 2005 data, 147 people lived in the village [3] .

Location

The village of Semenovo is located about 8 km south of the center of Pavlovsky Posad . The nearest settlements are the villages of Brazunovo , Chapel and Alferovo . Nearby flows the river Drezna .

History

The village of Semenovo was previously part of the Zagarye volost. Mentioned in scribal books of the 16th century: “ The village of Semenovo, and Spiridonyev’s identity, on the Drozne river, and in it there are 4 peasant yards, and 2 Bobyl yards ... ”. According to the fifth revision of 1795-1797, the village had 15 yards and 104 residents (42 men and 62 women). In 1952, the village had 24 yards and 182 residents. At the end of the 19th century, many villagers were engaged in weaving. Before the revolution, there was a chapel in the village [7] .

According to the 1926 census , there were 82 peasant farms in the village and 360 people lived (170 men and 190 women). In 1927, an elementary school was opened. In 1937 there were 53 students and 2 teachers. In the 1960s, an asphalt road was laid through the village of Semenovo, connecting it with the district center.

The village has a shop and a village club. In the 1990s, a monument to those killed in the Great Patriotic War was erected. In Semenov there are 2 streets: Zarechnaya and Novaya [8] . There is bus number 22 to Pavlovsky Posad. There are many summer cottages in the village.
