Svidersky, Vladimir Iosifovich

Vladimir Iosifovich Svidersky ( May 1, 1910 - November 15, 1994 ) - Soviet philosopher, doctor of philosophical sciences, professor, representative of the Leningrad ontological school .

Member of the CPSU since 1929. Graduated from the Physics Department of Leningrad State University (1936). In 1941 he graduated from graduate school at the Faculty of Philosophy of Leningrad State University . During the Great Patriotic War, he fought as a senior instructor in the political department of the 8th Army and the battalion commissar [1] . After demobilization in 1946 and until 1984, he worked at the Leningrad State University in the department of dialectical and historical materialism [2] . In 1955 he defended his doctoral dissertation - "On the development of spatio-temporal representations in physics and their philosophical significance."
