Content
Geography
The source is located on the southeastern side of the R258 “Baikal” federal highway in a steppe flat area, 11 km south-west of the city center of Ulan-Ude , on the left bank of the Selenga , 2 km from the riverbed. From the south it borders on the Ivolginsky district.
History
On April 17, 1992, the villages of Istok and Stepnoy were transferred from the Ivolginsky district to the subordination of the Ulan-Ude city council [1] .
By the Law of the Republic of Buryatia dated March 9, 2010 No. 1313-IV “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Buryatia“ On Establishing Borders, Establishing and Empowering the Status of Municipalities in the Republic of Buryatia ”” Steppe, Tulunzha, a settlement at Mostovoi station are excluded from the number of settlements and included in the city of Ulan-Ude [2] .
