Zangiev, Hasan Dzhambotovich

Hasan Dzhambotovich Zangiyev ( Ossetian. Zandzhiata Jambota firt Hasan ; October 21, 1954 , Alagir , North Ossetian ASSR - 2000) - Soviet freestyle wrestler , winner of the World Cup ( 1979 ) and silver winner of the European Championship ( 1977 ). Master of Sports of the USSR international class in freestyle wrestling.

Biography

Born October 21, 1954 in the city of Alagir of the North Ossetian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . In 1969 he became involved in freestyle wrestling . In 1973, fulfilled the norm of the master of sports . He was a member of the USSR free-style wrestling team. In 1975, he became the third at the Summer Games of the Peoples of the USSR in Moscow . In 1976 he became the silver medalist of the USSR Championship in Odessa . In 1977 he became the silver medalist of the European Championship in Bursa . In 1979 he became the winner of the World Cup in Toledo .

In 1978 he graduated from the faculty of physical education and sports of the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute . After that, he worked as a free-style wrestling coach at the junior sports school of the Ministry of Public Education of the SOASSR in the city of Alagir.

In 2000, Hassan died tragically.
