Biography
Ekaterina Bobrinskaya was born on June 2, 1966 [1] .
In 1988 she graduated from the Department of History and Theory of Art of the History Department of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov [1] .
In 1989-1991 she worked as an editor at the publishing house " Soviet Artist ". From 1994 to the present, he has been working at the State Institute of Art Studies of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation [1] .
Candidate of Art Criticism ( 1993 , Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov ); Thesis: “The Interaction of Poetry and Painting in Russian Cubo-Futurism”.
Doctor of Arts ( 2005 ); Thesis: "The problem of the boundaries of art in the Russian avant-garde of the late 1910s - early 1920s."
One of the six members of the jury of the Kandinsky Prize for the first three years ( 2007 , 2008 , 2009 ) [2] [3] [4] [5] .
She was the author of one of two articles that preceded the book by the head of Sotheby's London Department of Russian Art Joanna Vickery Frozen Dreams: Contemporary art from Russia , published in 2011 by the British publisher Thames & Hudson , in which, after a twenty-two-year hiatus, a fairly complete picture of contemporary Russian art for Western reader [6] .
