It is part of the Dvynitsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division - the Dvynitsky village council.

The distance by road to the district center of Sokol is 40 km, to the center of the municipality of Chekshin - 2 km. The nearest settlements are Kozlovo , Kobylkino , Shadrino , Chekshino , Pykhmarevo .

According to the 2002 census, the population is 83 people (38 men, 45 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (99%) [2] .
