Geography

It is located at the confluence with Al Solominki , 20 km along the highway from Kanash , through which communication with other areas of the republic is carried out. From Cheboksary Yantikovo is 104 km away. The leading enterprises of the district center serve agricultural production. The village center is represented by two or three-story stone buildings.

History

In 2015, 450 years have passed since the first mention of this settlement in archival sources.

  • “In the Chuvash folk traditions, it is said that the first resident of the village of Yantikovo, Timesh and his wife lived on the banks of the Sviyaga River with the children of Alpash and Entek. Subsequently, the Father separated them. Having ascended the Sviyaga River, they stopped at the junction of the Kubnya and Al rivers. Initially, the village was located in a forest, near Pavar ravine, not far from the village of Urazlino, but they were scared in the forest, so when they climbed the Al River, they stopped at the site of the present village of Yantikovo, in a mountain valley on the left side of the river. Al The kinship of Alpasha was located on Turikas street (Karl Marx street), and the Entek kinship - on Anatkas street (Kirov street) ” [3]
  • The first name of this village is Temeshevo (Timesh), according to the founding father of Entek and Alpasha. It as the name of the settlement was fixed in the XV-XVI centuries under the Kazan Khanate . In the middle of the XVII century from with. Timyash began to move people to the southern regions of the republic. So, in the Yalchik district there are villages Apanasovo Temyashi (Eleksey Timesh), Small Yerykla (Type Timesh), Toraevo (Anatri Timesh), Yantikovo (Asla Pala Timesh), in the Ibresinsky district - Chuvash Timyashi (Chavash Timesh, Tavai Timesh), which that people moved to these villages from the village of Timyashi (that is, from the village of Yantikovo). In the Chuvash Republic, about 10 villages are called Timyash.
  • According to archival documents, the village of Yantikovo has been mentioned since 1565 , as the village of Temeshevo. [four]
  • Even under Ivan IV , the beginning of the Christianization of the peoples of the Middle Volga, including the Chuvash, was laid. In 1720 - 1722, Peter I issued several decrees on the Christianization of the Volga peoples. And in 1740, the government switched to decisive measures of Christianization . The preachers and priests, arriving in the Chuvash villages accompanied by military teams, beat the peasants, kept them bound, then drove them to lakes and rivers, handed the cross and gave Orthodox names. By such methods, from 1740 to 1759 the bulk of the Chuvash population was baptized. At the expense of peasants, many churches were built in Chuvash villages. In 1757 - 1759 in the village of Yantikovo a church was built under the name of Michael the Archangel . Hence the third name is the village of Arkhangelsk [5] .
  • With the passage of time, the names of the villages Timyash , Entek and Arkhangelsk begin to lose their meaning and a new name Yantikovo arises. The origin of the last name has a double interpretation: as a geographical concept of foothills, (yantyk is a Tatar word), and as an origin on behalf of the founder of the village Entek [5] .
