Trachytidae (lat.) - a family of soil mites from the superorder Parasitiformes ( Uropodina ). More than 100 species [1] [2] .

Content
Description
Small ticks are found in soil, rotten wood, moss. Most species were found in Europe, several species - in Asia, North and South America [3] . Front coxae not coveringtritosternum ; the metasternal plate is narrow and not fused with the ventral and sternal plates in females and is located laterally with respect to the epiginal plate. Lateral plates are absent [4] .
Classification
7 genera and 108 species in the superfamily Uropodoidea [1] . Previously stood out in a separate cohort of Trachytina Trägårdh, 1938 [4] [5] .
