History
The former name is Maxlakhti .
In the period from 1954 to 1956. The headquarters and regiments of the 277th Assault Aviation Krasnoselskaya Red Banner Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov divisions on Il-10 aircraft were based on the airfield. In 1956, part of the division retrained on the MiG-15 and the division was transferred to fighter aircraft , receiving the name - 277th Fighter Aviation Krasnoselskaya Red Banner Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Division . In 1957, the division was disbanded.
Since 1958, the 103rd Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment was based on MiG-17 aircraft. On March 4, 1961, the regiment was reorganized into the 371st Guards Separate Helicopter Transport Squadron, and on May 31, 1961, the squadron was deployed into the 332nd Guards Separate Helicopter Regiment (military unit 55745). The regiment became part of the 87th air base, headquartered in the village of Levashovo.
Other activities
The open championship of the city of Vyborg on radio-controlled flight model aircraft was held at the aerodrome [1] .
