History
Beginning ( 1987 - 1989 )
Having been as a member of the jury in the fall of 1987 at the surgical Olympiad at the Moscow State Academy of Medical Sciences. N.I.Pirogov (now RNRMU named after N.I.Pirogov ), professor I MMI them. I.M.Shechenova Natalia Sergeevna Koroleva, decided to organize a surgical Olympiad in her Alma Mater , but more fervent and entertaining. Together with A. Yu. Axelrod, they decided to present all the contests like the revived KVN then. It was N.S. Koroleva who founded the olympiad movement I MMI, it was the ideological inspirer of this important event, which grew into a tradition.
The participants in the very first Olympiad were two teams: a team at the Department of Surgical Diseases No. 2 of the 1st Medical Faculty, combined with the All-Union Scientific Center of Surgery of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, under the name "Cyto" and the team of the I MMI, consisting of representatives from the circles of the departments of operative and general surgery, Surgical Diseases No. 1 of the 1st Medical Faculty and Surgical Diseases No. 2 of the 2nd Medical Faculty, called “Kultya.”
The 2nd Olympiad of the 1st MMI was held a year later in the conference hall of the All-Russian Scientific Exhibition Center. It was also an intra-institute Olympiad. It was attended by several other teams, compared to last year. These were members of the SSS of the 1st and 2nd medical faculties. The teams were called respectively: “CHANCE” and “Tetrakapadrin”.
The competition program of these Olympiads consisted of the following contests: "Presentation of teams," "Praktik", "Homework", "Transfusiologist", "Intestinal and aortic sutures", "Erudite". Revival and development (2005–2009)
A new stage in the history of the Olympics began in 2005. The renewed tradition began to rapidly gain momentum and popularity among various medical universities in Moscow and Russia. Sechenov S.Dydykin, and the chairman of the organizing committee was Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences M.I. Perelman. Honored guests of the new Olympiad: prof. After the XVIII Moscow Student Olympiad in Surgery, the transformation of the competition system began. As early as next year, the Olympiad gained federal status with regional tours (Siberia, Volga region, Southern Federal District, St. Petersburg, Urals), the winner of which received the right to participate in the Olympiad final in the First MGMU. I.M.Sechenova. Thus, the number of participants (over 30 universities) was broadened, the competitive program and the organizing committee became more complicated and expanded.
