History
It was founded in the 2nd half of the 17th century as the possession of the Rubtsov , later - Danchenko , Lashkevichi and other owners (she did not have a Cossack population).
Until 1781, it was part of the Topalsky hundred Starodubsky regiment ; then in Novomestsky , Novozybkovsky (from 1809 ) district (from 1861 - as a part of the Brahlovsky volost , from 1918 in Chernokovsky , from 1923 in Klimovskoy volost ).
Since 1929 in the Klimovsky district . From 1919 to the 1930s . - the center of the Optensky village council, then until 1960 in the Lyubechansky village council, in 1960–2005 in the Brahlov village council. In the middle of the XX century - the collective farm "Opten".
Winter 2012 - 2013 there was no population in the village. As of May 2013, the village is actually non-residential and looks completely decadent. According to the representatives of the border service, after the snow melted, they were looted by looters.
