Geography
The village is located on the northern tip of Lake Savinsky , 6 km southeast of the village of Stara Toropa .

History
In the XIX-early XX centuries, the village belonged to the Toropetsk district of the Pskov province . After the liquidation of the provinces in 1927, the village became part of the Oktyabrsky district of the Leningrad region , from 1929 to 1935 it was part of the Western region . After the formation of the Kalinin region - as part of the Oktyabrsky district. From 1944 to 1957, the Oktyabrsky district belonged to the Velikiye Luki region . Since 1963, the village is part of the Zapadnodvinsky district [2] .
