Scientific activity

The main directions of scientific research are social philosophy , social and philosophical anthropology .

Exploring the relationship of the material and the ideal in society, he showed that this relationship is the methodological basis of the entire system of socio-philosophical knowledge, and - in its modifications - the basis for highlighting the subsystems of laws and categories, certain levels of this knowledge (“categorical series”). He proposed definitions of the basic spheres of public life, revealed their determinative and functional connections, revealed historical evolution as constituting the main spheres and as dynamism, the diversity of the entire system of their interconnections.

He developed a general concept of social philosophy, its subject, a system of laws and categories, structure, methodological functions. He identified three levels of the structure of social philosophy: the main areas of society; the main forms of the integral being and functioning of society (the structure of society, society as a historical process, the driving forces of the development of society); society as a whole world (society as a natural world, society as a creation of man, society as a world of culture).

Having singled out a special class of philosophical and anthropological laws that reveal the substantial-determining role of man in relation to society, he came to the conclusion that it is necessary to constitute socio-philosophical anthropology as an independent branch of the philosophy of knowledge, based on the general principles of philosophical anthropology and in relation to complementarity with social philosophy. He defined the subject of socio-philosophical anthropology as “the law of interaction between societies, the essence of man and the human essence of society in their multifaceted nature and world-wide historical development”, revealed the socio-creative potential of man, spirituality as the sphere of his essence, characterized the universal modes of human existence, including along with the freedom of creativity include meaning-value self-affirmation, striving for the absolute. He put forward a provision on anthropological determinism, on the forms of human representation in society, its structures, on various mechanisms of anti-human “wrapping” of society and its institutions, and a number of others.

In 1971 he defended his doctoral dissertation, “The Relationship of the Material and the Ideal in Society as a Problem of Historical Materialism”.

The author of over 150 scientific papers, including 11 monographs.
