Geographical position
The city is located in the eastern part of the governorate, on the right bank of the Tigris River, at an altitude of 189 meters above sea level [1] .
Hammam al-Alil is located approximately 15 kilometers southeast (SSE) from Mosul , the provincial capital, and 320 kilometers north-northwest (NNW) from Baghdad , the country's capital.
