Distribution
Steppe regions of North America [3] .
Slopes, pastures, roadsides, are occasionally found in floodplains.
Pollinators can be representatives of Andrenidae , Apidae (in particular Apis mellifera ), Halictidae , Megachilidae , Syrphidae (in particular Eristalis tenax ), Xylocopa , as well as Trichiotinus piger beetles [2] .
Botanical Description
Dioecious plants. Pollen from female flowers is less accessible to pollinators than pollen from flowers on males. Male plants have more flowers in inflorescences [7] .
The length of shoots is 2–4 m [5] , according to another source 1.5–6 m [4] .
Spikes are straight, bent, often with a flattened base.
Leaves with 3, less than 5 fine-toothed leaves.

Fruits are about 1 cm in diameter.
It blooms in Canada from late June to mid-July.
It differs from Rosa laevigata by the pink color of the flowers. From Rosa multiflora lack of distinct fringe on stipules [2] .

Frost resistance zones : from 3b to warmer [4] . According to other sources, it can withstand temperatures down to -20 ° C [3]
