Eschscholzia parishii is found in the state of California ( USA ) and the neighboring states of Baja California and Sonora ( Mexico ). It grows on desert slopes, hills. It blooms in spring (March-May).
An annual herbaceous plant, grows by a bush, leaves are segmented, with rounded shares, from bright green to yellow-green. A straight stem 5-30 cm high, a single small flower with yellow petals, 15-30 mm. The fruit is a capsule of 5-7 cm, the seeds are small from light brown to brown in color, elliptical 1.0-1.4 mm. Chromosome set n = 12.
The Kawaiisu Indians used E. parishii to treat venereal ulcers, gonorrhea, and syphilis.
