Biography
Born May 10 ( May 23 ), 1907 in Kutaisi in the family of a teacher.
In 1929 he graduated from the philological faculty of Tbilisi State University .
Since 1935 he worked at the Institute of the History of Georgian Literature. Shota Rustaveli .
He died in Tbilisi on April 6, 1976 .
Scientific activity
In 1940, Abzyanidze’s book “ Akaki Tsereteli . Life and work ”(in Russian; in Georgian in 1960 ), in 1950 - a collection of studies and monographs“ Georgian Classics ”( Georgian. ქართველი კლასიკოსები ). He is the author of the book "Essays on the History of Georgian Public Thought of the 19th Century" ( Georgian. ნარკვევები XIX საუკუნის ქართული საზოგადოებრივი აზრის ისტორიიდა , 1959 ). He also owns articles on Soviet writers, articles on aesthetics and the history of Russian-Georgian literary relations [1] .
