Marina Soslanovna Margieva (born June 28, 1986 , Vladikavkaz , North Ossetia , USSR ) is a Moldovan hammer thrower . Ex-record holder of his country. Finalist of the European Championships . Participant in the World Championships and the Olympic Games 2008 and 2012 . The sister of another famous Moldavian hammer thrower Zalina Margieva and Sergey Margiev .

During the London Olympics, the banned drug stanozolol, which stimulates muscle growth, was found in Margievaβs blood and Natalya Artykβs disco cover. Athletes were suspended from the competition [1] . After the end of the competition, Margieva said that she did not take illegal drugs and was ready to challenge her disqualification [2] .
