Biography
Garinei was born in the city of Trieste in northern Italy. He is a pharmacist by education. He later worked as a sports correspondent for the newspaper Corriere dello Sport , where he met Sandro Giovannini . Together they formed a literary duet, starting with the publication of the satirical newspaper Cantachiaro in 1944 . In 1949, the Garinés made his debut in the theater with his first play, and in 1952 he premiered his musical comedy Attanasio cavallo vanesio , the main part of which was played by Renato Rachelle . In collaboration with Giovannini Garinei created many musicals . Among the artists who played in the productions of Garinei's plays were Nino Manfredi , Sandra Mondaini , Domenico Modugno , Massimo Ranieri , Raffaella Carra , Marcello Mastroianni and many others.
In collaboration with Giovannini and Rachelle in 1955, the famous song Arrivederci Roma was written.
He died in Rome on May 9, 2006 [1] .
