The A & R project was finalized at FSUE TsMKB Almaz to meet the requirements of the Maritime Register of Russian Shipping and the special requirements of the FSB FS. The lead ship of the ordered series of three units, received the name "Octopus".
Earlier, in 2001-2003, three hulls had already been built at the Yantar Shipyard (Pages No. 6457, 6458, 6459), which were completed at the Abeking & Rassmussen shipyard according to the original project BG 157A for the German police [1 ] .
Description
The hull was designed as an intermediate option between a warship and a civilian ship. This made it possible to successfully combine cost-effectiveness speed.
Through the use of advanced technologies, automation and computerization, the crew has been reduced to 15 people. Additionally, a group of up to 10 people can be accommodated and work on board - an inspection team , fish inspectors, border guards, and a scientific expedition.
Structurally, the possibility of retrofitting an artillery mount of caliber up to 57 mm with control from an optical-electronic or laser-optical system is provided. Navigation, radio equipment and communications are combined into the ship module of the Matelot tactical navigation complex, which is combined with the KSOUN (Integrated Lighting, Control, Communication and Navigation) territorial module. The possibility of receiving and transferring goods and crew to the sea from a helicopter is provided. It is possible to place a fixed-base helicopter with a take-off weight of up to 3.2 tons, or to place on the deck of a speed boat of Project 12150 Mongoose weighing up to 30 tons.
Additionally, a sonar detection system for underwater swimmers of the Pallada or Anapa type and an anti-sabotage grenade launcher of the DP-65 type can be used.
The equipment for monitoring the state of the air and sea environment, lifting and launching devices of the diving complex, equipment for the operational repair of underwater pipelines were installed.
Most of the equipment for the project is made in Germany.
Features

The vessel is capable of speeds up to 22 knots, the cruising range of the vessel under the main engine with an economic speed of 12 knots is 6590 miles, and when using an electric motor - 11034 miles, autonomy - 30 days.
