Biography
Julius George Candela was born on December 3, 1889 in the city of Mosul , Iraq . June 15, 1913 was ordained priest .
On April 26, 1951, Pope Pius XII appointed Julius George Kandel as the auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Mosul and the titular bishop of the diocese of Tsefa . On August 15, 1951, Julius George Candela was ordained a bishop.
On February 20, 1952, the Holy Synod of the Syrian Catholic Church chose Julius George Kandela as archbishop of Mosul. On May 12, 1952, Pope Pius XII approved the decision of the Synod of the Syrian Catholic Church. On August 23, 1952, Julius George Kandela was inducted into the post.
On August 23, 1959, he retired and was appointed titular archbishop of the archdiocese of Seleucia of Pieria .
In 1962 - 1965 participated in the I, II and III sessions of the II Vatican Council .
He died on April 15, 1980 .
