Dolina Narzanov is a balneoclimatic resort area in the Caucasian Mineral Waters in the Russian Federation ( Kabardino-Balkaria , Zolsky district ), 87 kilometers northwest of Nalchik and 34 kilometers south of Kislovodsk (bus connection). It is located in the foothills of the northern slope of the Rocky Range of the Greater Caucasus, in the Khasaut River Valley (near its confluence with the Malka ; the Terek River basin), at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level (near the border with Karachay-Cherkessia ).

In the Khasaut River Valley , 20 powerful mineral springs of the Narzan type emerge for 1 km. In the vicinity is located Mushtinsky waterfall (to the south-west), on Mount Shijatmaz - the astronomical station of the Pulkovo Observatory .

Climate
The climate is temperate continental. Winters are mild with unstable snow cover; January average temperature is −5 ° C. The summer is warm with frequent rains; the average temperature of August is 22 ° C. Precipitation is about 700 mm per year. The number of hours of sunshine is 2731 per year.
Healing Properties of the Resort
Along with the climate, the main therapeutic factor is the mineral water of 17 springs located along the river bank. Khasaut (the area got its name due to the abundance of water sources such as narzans). The flow rate of two main sources (Main and Lower, located 50 m from it) is approx. 1 million l / day. The water of the sources refers to carbonic acid sodium bicarbonate chloride with a salinity of 3.3 g / l and a carbon dioxide content of up to 2.2 g / l (temp. 10.5 ° C; strongly carbonated with carbon dioxide - “cold boiling water”).
Tourism
In the Valley of Narzans, the hostel “Valley of Narzanov” was located (350 places; ≈ 36 km from the resort of Kislovodsk); not working since 2007. There are summer houses for 2 people, in which amateur tourists spend the night.
An asphalt road now passes through the Valley of Narzans, which is being built further to the upper Malki (Kyzylkol) [Northern Elbrus region ; ≈ 30 km] - the tract Dzhily-Su (Warm water) {folk baths with warm (+22.5 ° C all year round) narzan sources of Dzhily-Su }.
