Zhaksybaev, Nabi Kulchamanovich

In 1937 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold . After graduation, he taught at the Kazakh Mining and Metallurgical Institute .

In 1942-1953 at the state and party work: Chairman of the South Kazakhstan Oblast Executive Committee, Chairman of the Aktobe Oblast Executive Committee, Secretary of the Aktobe Regional Committee of the CPSU (B.).

Since 1953, he headed the mines of the Karaganda region, worked as deputy minister of non-ferrous metallurgy of the Kazakh SSR, chairman of the state technical supervision of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR.

Since 1959, he headed the Zyryanovsky lead plant . Candidate of Technical Sciences Zhaksybaev N.K. made automation of mining production, introduced many new technologies in the field of mining and enrichment of mining products. During these years, new deposits were discovered.

Thanks to N.K. Zhaksybaev, accelerated housing construction was started in Zyryanovsk , a sanitary unit was built, central heating was launched, the Palace of Culture, Technology and Sports was founded, several recreation centers were built on the Bukhtarma reservoir , and the Rakhmanovsky Keys sanatorium was built. An organized supply system made it possible to provide the population with a wide range of food products, light industry products.

• On May 20, 1966, for outstanding achievements in the development of non-ferrous metallurgy, Nabi Kulchamanovich Zhaksybaev was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle".
• Zhaksybaev N.K. was awarded two Orders of the Banner of Labor, the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of the Badge of Honor, three medals and two Honorary Diplomas of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR.

By the decision of the Executive Committee of the Zyryanovsk City Council of Workers' Deputies dated November 4, 1975 No. 515 “On perpetuating the memory of the Hero of Socialist Labor, Honorary Citizen of the city of Zyryanovsk Nabi Kulchamanovich Zhaksybaev”, part of Komsomolskaya Street in the city of Zyryanovsk was renamed Zhaksybaev Street.

In 2012, in honor of the 100th anniversary of N.K. Zhaksybaev, a memorial plaque was erected on one of the houses along N.K. Zhaksybaev street.
