Edm Jean Leclair ( fr. Edme Jean Leclaire ; May 14, 1801 , Aisy-sur-Armançon - July 13, 1872 , Erble ) is a 19th-century French entrepreneur , a pioneer of worker participation in the company's profits, and an ardent advocate of his profit distribution system. Mayor of Erble from 1865 to 1869.

Biography
In childhood he was a simple shepherd ; at 16, he came to Paris without any means and entered the apprentice as a painter .
In 1837 he founded in Paris his own “Leclair's Paint and Furniture Facility” (later “Reduals and Co.”); in 1838 he established a mutually supportive society for his workers, and in 1842 he held the workers' participation in the profits of his enterprise, despite opposition from the police, which forbade him from periodically collecting his workers for this purpose.
