Surdy ( Belorussian. Surdy ) is a village in the Golovchinsky village council of the Belynichi district of the Mogilev region of the Republic of Belarus . The population is 32 people (2009) [2] .

Geography
Location
14 km north-east of Belynich , 22 km from the regional center and the railway station Mogilev .
Hydrography
To the east of the village is the Wabic River, a tributary of Druti .
Transportation System
Transport connection on the highway Krugloye - Mogilev . The layout is V-shaped. Main street is part of the highway. Another street runs north from it along the river. The building is two-sided, with wooden houses of a manor type.
History
It has been known from written sources since the 17th century. In 1681 - possession of the Dominican church in Golovchin . After the 1st partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1772) it was part of the Russian Empire . In 1777 - in the Mogilev district of the Mogilev province . In 1785 - as part of the estate of the Old Village of the Mogilev district, 18 yards, 121 residents. Since 1847 - as part of the estate of Yermolovichi. In 1897, there were 29 yards in the village, 176 inhabitants, in the Nezhkovskaya volost of the Mogilev district of the Mogilev province. In 1909, a zemstvo school was opened (in 1925, 58 students).
From February to October 1918 it was occupied by the German army. In 1931 the collective farm “Our Victory” was organized. July 2, 1941 was occupied by Nazi invaders. 2 km east of the village, 2 soldiers were buried in a mass grave, who died in July 1941. During World War II , 10 local residents died on the fronts, 4 residents were killed by the Nazis. Released on June 29, 1944.
In 1986 - as part of the collective farm “Our Victory” with a center in Golovchin .
