Konstantin Nikolaevich Koptsev (born November 18, 1949 , Moscow , USSR ) - Soviet coach, head coach of the USSR national team (1988-1991) and the United Boxing Team (1992). Honored Trainer of the USSR (1989). Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation .

Biography

He began boxing at the Moscow Suvorov Military School . Received the title Master of Sports of the USSR . Since 1972, on coaching. He worked at SKA of the Moscow Military District and the Petrel Sports Society. In 1981-1988 he was the head coach of the USSR youth team, and in 1988-1992 the national team of the USSR and the United Team . Under his leadership, the USSR national team became the best in the team event at the 1989 World Cup and 1991 European Championship .

Since 1995, Konstantin Koptsev has been the head of the interregional joint committee of boxing unions in Russia. He is also the chairman of the coaching council of the Boxing Federation of Russia and a member of the coaching commission of the International Amateur Boxing Association .
