Biography
The plebeian surname Oppiev came from Rome (according to another version, from Auximinus ). Probably Sabin was the son or nephew of the consul-suffice of 43 years of Spurius Oppius . In 84, Sabin served as an ordinary consul along with Emperor Domitian . The following year he was appointed governor of Moesia . In the winter of 85/86, Oppius fell in battle against the Dacians who invaded the province entrusted to him [1] . Perhaps his son or grandson was Guy Oppiy Sabin Julius Nepot Mark Viby Solemniy Sever .
