Tahuni culture - the Neolithic culture of Palestine VIII — V millennium BC. e., replacing the Natufi culture . It was replaced by tribes of the Yarmuk culture that came from the north.

It was named after Wadi Tahun, located in central Palestine, where the industry characteristic of this period was first found. Artifacts of this culture are found on the Judean hills and in the Negev desert . Abu Ghosh is a reference monument to the Tahuni culture. Jean Perrault discovered the remains of one-room quadrangular houses with a conical roof. In the later period of its existence, steady ties with Egypt ( Tassian culture ) were outlined. The last Tahuni tools of the Tassian culture in Egypt, apparently, belong to the 5th millennium BC. e. and even by the beginning of the 4th.
According to one version, put forward by supporters of the highly controversial hypothesis of the “ boreal language, " the ancestral home of the Takhunis was southeast Asia Minor and they had family ties with the tribes of Svidera culture [1] . The center of culture was Jericho B. Sanctuaries have the appearance of a megaron . The main occupation of the population was agriculture in combination with hunting with a bow and arrow. There is information about the domestication of a goat.
