Jamal Al-Sharif ( arab. جمال الشريف ) (born December 8, 1956 ) is a football referee from Damascus , Syria . Known for having judged 6 matches in the World Cup . Of which 2 matches he judged as part of the 1986 World Cup , one as part of the 1990 World Cup and three of them as part of the 1994 World Cup , including the 1/8 final match between Bulgaria and Mexico , when his decision Remove the player of the Bulgarian national team Emil Kremenliev and assign a penalty to the gate of the Bulgarian national team caused a lot of controversy after the match.
