Al-Hindiya [1] ( arab. الهندية ) is a city in central Iraq , located in the territory of Karbala governorate. The administrative center of the same district.

Geographical position
The city is located in the eastern part of the governorate, on both banks of the Euphrates River, at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level [2] .
Al-Hindiya is located approximately 17 kilometers east-southeast (ESE) from Kerbela , the provincial capital and 75 kilometers south-south-west (SSW) from Baghdad , the capital of the country.
