IFK

IFK (Insect Flyin Killa) (from the English Insect Flying Killer - “The Flying Killer of Insects”) is a musical group from Russia playing in the alternative rock genre.

History

The team was formed in 1994 in Moscow [1] .

The presence of two vocalists and two bassists became a striking feature of the group.

Fame came after the first concerts, largely thanks to the energetic and uncompromising stage image. Literally six months later, and 2 months after the debut, she won the first Rap Music fest`94. At the same time, the New Hot Rock newspaper described the young group as follows: “It’s a purely concert concert at the concert, however, it makes an irresistible impression on a fairly wide audience. However, besides the show, there’s nothing to talk about at all - neither music, as such, nor texts, as such ” [2] .

For the first time, a group of this format, with the filing of Kostas Hionidi, participated in the iconic “Program A”.

The clip for the song “I live in Moscow”, co-written with the group “ Va-Bank ”, received a prize at the International Festival of Video Clips in France.

They became the headliners of the first Learn to Swim festival with the support of Maximum radio .

IFK has been playing at the Megahouse venue in Luzhniki for ten years in a row.

IFK three times become one of the three best alternative groups of the year according to MK .

In the next video “Sky” the famous vj MTV Tutta Larsen took part.

In 1998 they take part in Maxidrom.

In 2000, a progressive hymn was written, “Everything Is Important to Us” (a remake of the single Faith No More , “We Care A Lot” with their direct approval) - this became the title track of the first festival “ Invasion ”.

IFK opened Moscow concerts of such giants as Motorhead , Rage Against The Machine , Clawfinger , Вiohazard, Soulfly and Rammstein (after which the video clip "Antiromancy" was born with their participation.)

In 1999, the band performed at the first MTV Party in Red Square with the Red Hot Chili Peppers , which brought together more than 300,000 people. In the same year, they scandalously act as headliners of the Adidas Streetball Challenge, where they are led off the stage because of the mat.

Joint project with DJ Groove - Groove FK Perform in front of Clawfinger in Moscow and go to Spain, to the famous open-air "Satisfaction", where they perform together with drum`n`bass style stars: Fluke , 4Hero, Roni Size , etc. Hals (guitarist, author) and PJ (drums, producing) help as guest musicians to tATu group around the world, including Eurovision, German, Japanese (42,000 people a day) and other stadiums, completing this at the CCM in St. Petersburg (22,000 people) with a full house and charity concert in support of the children of Beslan at the Moscow Art Theater.

In November 2014, they participated in a split concert with the cult American band Hed PE

  • IFK has its own star in the constellation Sagittarius.
  • There is an “alternative” story of the group, written by PJ and Tikhon Kubov in a satirical genre.
  • A cover version of the song "Fool" for the tribute of the group " Naive " was composed the day before recording 2 hours. Recorded, mixed and mastered in 4 hours the next day.
