Flora ( lat. Ludi florales ) - in ancient Rome, the feast of the Roman goddess of spring Flora , which was celebrated from April 28 to May 3 . Florals are considered one of the oldest official holidays of ancient Rome, introduced by Titus Tacius .

During the holiday, people decorated with flowers and dressed in colored clothes danced, and on the tables were piles of flowers. The Romans brought gifts to Flora with honey and milk.
Probably, this holiday was subsequently supplanted by the games in honor of Flora - the florals, whose establishment dates back to 238 BC. Oe., when the temple of Flora was consecrated. Known florals, arranged in 55 BC. er by the then edil Guy Messiah , where Caton the Younger was among the others [1] [2] .
