Biography
Born on December 29, 1974 in the village of Pervomaisky, Chita Region (now Trans-Baikal Territory ), in the family of a test parachutist, future Hero of the Russian Federation I.E. Tarelkin . After studying at school No. 14 named after Yu. A. Gagarin, the Shchelkovsky district of the Moscow Region, he entered the Yeisk Higher Military Aviation School for Pilots named after V. M. Komarova , which he graduated in 1996 . Soon he continued his studies at the Air Force Academy. Yu.A. Gagarin ( 1998 ).
Air Force Service
Since 1998, he served as a senior on-board test engineer at the Russian State Research Testing Center for Cosmonaut Training. Yu.A. Gagarin . He mastered the aircraft L-29 , L-39 , IL-76 (a raid before enrolling in the cosmonaut squad for 207 hours). He has the rank of instructor of parachute training (more than 400 parachute jumps), as well as the qualification of a diver (spent under water for about 250 hours) [1] .
Space Training
In May 2003 , after undergoing a medical examination at the Institute of Biomedical Problems, and then examined at the Interagency Commission, E.I. Tarelkin was admitted to the post of candidate for cosmonaut of the detachment of the RGNII CPK.
In 2003-2005 he passed general space training, passed exams with excellent marks. On June 5, 2005, the qualification of a test cosmonaut was awarded. In May 2006 he was seconded to the Space Center. Johnson ( USA ) as a representative of the Russian State Scientific-Research-Scientific-Technical-Scientific-Practical Center. He was the commander of the cosmonaut cosmonaut group. He has the rank of reserve lieutenant colonel (in the summer of 2012 he was dismissed from military service).

In June 2010, was assigned to the main crew of the ISS-33/34. In May 2012, he was a flight engineer for the backup crew of the Soyuz TMA-04M spacecraft . The same crew, composed of Oleg Novitsky , Evgeny Tarelkin and Kevin Ford , launched on October 23, 2012 at the International Space Station as members of the main expedition ISS-33 on the Soyuz TMA-06M spacecraft [2] .

On June 1, 2015, by order of the head of the CPC, Evgeny Tarelkin was relieved of his post as a test cosmonaut and dismissed from the CPC of his own free will [4] .
