Biography
Born on April 16, 1977 in the city of Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Territory.
In 1994, after graduating from high school, he entered the Stavropol Theological Seminary , which he graduated in 1999. During his studies at the seminary, he obeyed the subdeacon of Metropolitan Gideon of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz.
On January 7, 1998, in the St. Andrew's Cathedral of Stavropol, Metropolitan Gideon was ordained a deacon .
On January 25, in the same cathedral, he was tonsured a monk by the same archpastor with the naming of a name in honor of St. Innocent, Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomensky .
From March 1998 to January 2000, he was a clergyman at St. Andrew's Cathedral.
In 1998-2000 he taught at the Stavropol Theological Seminary.
From January 2000 to April 2001, he was the full-time deacon of the Ilyinsky Church in Vladikavkaz.
On April 7, 2001, in St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Stavropol, Metropolitan Gideon was ordained a hieromonk . On June 1, 2001, he was appointed keyman of St. Andrew's Cathedral in Stavropol.
On September 29, 2008, he was appointed rector of the Mikhailo-Arkhangelsk Church in the city of Novoaleksandrovsk in the Stavropol Territory, while retaining the position of the foreman of St. Andrew's Cathedral.
In 2001-2005 he studied at the correspondence sector of the Kiev Theological Academy .
In 2001-2010, he again taught at the Stavropol Theological Seminary.
By Easter 2007 he was elevated to the rank of abbot .
On March 2, 2010, he was relieved of his duties as rector of the church in Novoaleksandrovsk and transferred to the seminary.
May 14, 2010 appointed rector of the Ascension Cathedral of the city of Alagir (North Ossetia).
Following the transfer of the Archbishop of Stavropol Feofan (Ashurkov) to the Chelyabinsk department , on March 28, 2011 he was transferred to the clergy of the same diocese.
On April 2, 2011, by decree of the Archbishop of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust, Feofan was appointed governor of the Holy Simeon Cathedral of the city of Chelyabinsk.
On July 26, 2012, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, he was elected bishop of the newly established Magnitogorsk diocese .
On August 26, 2012, in the Preobrazhensky church of the Smelovsky village of the Verkhneuralsk district of the Chelyabinsk region, Metropolitan Theophane of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust was elevated to the rank of Archimandrite [1] .
On August 31, 2012, in the Church of All Saints, in the land of Russia, the Patriarchal and Synodal residences in the Danilov Monastery were named Bishop of Magnitogorsk and Verkhneuralskiy [2] .
On October 11, 2012, in the St. Nicholas Cathedral of the Pokrovsky Stavropegial Convent in Khotkovo , he was ordained bishop of Magnitogorsk and Verkhneuralskiy. The consecration was performed by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill , Metropolitan of Saransk and Mordovia Barsanuphius (Sudakov) , Metropolitan of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust Feofan (Ashurkov) , Bishop of Pyatigorsk and Circassian Feofilakt (Kuryanov) , Bishop Sergius of Chashnogor .
