Biography
In 1968 he began to engage in freestyle wrestling under the leadership of Kazbek Magometovich Dedegkaev . He fought in lightweight. He was a member of the USSR national team. In 1977 he became the champion of the RSFSR in Ulan-Ude. Twice became the champion of the USSR in Krasnoyarsk (1977) and in Moscow (1980). Two-time silver medalist of the USSR championships (1978, 1979). In 1979, he became the winner of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR in Moscow.
In 1976 he graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of North Ossetian State University named after K. L. Khetagurov .
