The Communist Party of Palestine is a political party that existed in Palestine from 1922-1923. It arose as a result of the split in Poalei Zion into the Jewish Communist Party and directly into the Communist Party of Palestine. The main difference between the two sides of the split was in relation to Zionism .
The Palestinian Communist Party condemned Zionism, while the Palestinian Communist Party supported "Palestinism" - the idea of concentrating Jewish workers in Israel - and, therefore, remained open to some cooperation with Zionists. The Communist Party of Palestine opposed Zionist settlements in Palestine [1] . In 1923, the CPR and the PKP merged to form the Palestinian Communist Party [1] .
