Society for the Conservation of Nature

The Nature Conservation Society is a public environmental organization with regional branches in republics, regions, cities, district centers, educational institutions and enterprises. Promotes public awareness of recycling , disseminates environmental education and a love of nature in schools, local communities and among local authorities.

Under pressure from some of its units, in 1967 the government of the Ukrainian SSR established the State Committee for Nature Protection as the central authority. This happened three years earlier than the United States Environmental Protection Agency ( English EPA ) was established, and 21 years before the creation of the USSR State Committee for Nature Protection and the RSFSR State Committee for Nature Protection .

The American Wildlife Conservation Society was founded in 1895 and is based in the Bronx Zoo in New York . It is a non-profit organization. Its main goal is to preserve the wildlife of Africa .
