Career
Club
He acted as a goalkeeper . Throughout his career he was a member of Toulouse , as well as several amateur football clubs. He was forced to end his player’s career due to the consequences of a car accident [1] .
Coaching
The first club with which Eli Bop worked as a head coach was Saint-Etienne . Bop led the team in the summer of 1994 and was retired in the 1995/96 season, which did not save the Greens from relegation from League 1 .
In 1997, Bop became Guy Stefan 's assistant at Bordeaux . During the season, Bop replaced Stefan as head coach of the team. In Bordeaux, Bop worked for 5 years and once led the team to victory in the French Championship and the French League Cup . In 1999, the mentor of the Girondins was recognized as the coach of the year in France. At the end of 2003, Eli Bop was fired from Bordeaux after a home defeat from Toulouse [2] .
In 2004, Eli Bop re-headed Saint-Etienne, and from 2006 to 2008 was the head coach of Toulouse. In the 2008/09 season, Bop led the Nantes . However, according to the results of the championship, the “canaries” were eliminated in League 2 ; the mentor did not want to work in this division and the contract with the club was terminated by mutual agreement [3] .]
From July 4, 2012 to December 7, 2013 Eli Bop was the head coach of the Marseille Olympic .
