Biography
Athanasius Ignatius Nouri was born on December 13, 1857 in Iraq .
On March 11, 1895, the Holy Synod of the Syrian Catholic Church chose Athanasius Ignatius Nuri as archbishop of Baghdad. On May 18, 1895, Athanasius Ignatius Nuri was ordained a bishop.
In 1908 he resigned and was appointed titular bishop of Hierapolus of Syria .
He died on November 9, 1946 in Baghdad.
