Since 2004, it belongs together with the village of Timofeevka to the municipality "Timofeevsky rural settlement " [3] .
Content
History
The village of Nord-Ost was founded in 1934 . Located on the Watowski Peninsula, on the shores of Vladimir Bay, Sea of Japan .
Until the mid-1990s, various military units of the Vladimir-Olginsky garrison were stationed in the village. In the thickness of the mountain range on the Vatovsky peninsula, the lost ones leading to the underground ammunition depots were preserved. After the departure of military units, the population of the village decreased significantly, most of the buildings are abandoned.

Transport, Economics, Communications
It is connected with the village of Timofeevka by a gravel road of low quality. There is no bus connection with the settlements of the Olginsky district.
The basis of the economy is fishing , growing mariculture , collecting and processing kelp ( seaweed ).

Attractions
- The narrow isthmus on the Watovsky Peninsula is several hundred meters wide; the Sea of Japan and Cape Four Rocks are accessible for inspection.
- In the summer, in the vicinity of the village of Nord-Ost, the Far East come to rest, they are attracted to small shallow bays with well-heated water, rich bottom flora and fauna .
- A few dozen meters from Cape Orekhova (the northern tip of the Watovsky Peninsula) is the site of the death of the cruiser Emerald , which took part in the Tsushima battle of the Russo-Japanese War and survived in it. In conditions of insufficient visibility, the cruiser sat on the stones and was blown up by the crew on May 19, 1905.
