History
The 28th Cavalry Division was formed in 1935 in the Ukrainian Military District. Division management and all units were in the city of Kamenetz-Podolsk . In May, N.F. was appointed division commander. Fedorov.
The division became part of the 7th cavalry corps. The corps administration was located in the city of Shepetivka, Vinnytsia region of the Ukrainian USSR . The corps consisted of 23, 26th and 28th cavalry divisions.
The division was stationed in 1938 in Kamenetz-Podolsk, Yarmolintsy .
In 1938, the 28th cd was disbanded.

1935 year :
In 1935, the 7th Cavalry Corps of the Ukrainian Military District was formed . The corps administration was located in the city of Shepetivka, the regional center of the Shepetovsky district of the Vinnitsa region of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic . The corps consisted of 23, 26th and 28th cavalry divisions.
The administration of the 28th division and all units were in the city of Kamenetz-Podolsk . Division commander N.F. Fedorov.
Socialist competition permeated the entire process of combat and political training of the district’s personnel. It was held under the slogans: “All communists and Komsomol members are excellent shooters!”, “Not a single one lagging behind in fire training!” And others.

In 1936, at the call of the Political Administration of the okrug, formations and units of the okrug were included in the Stakhanov movement . The title of Stakhanovist was assigned to units, units and formations that perfectly studied military equipment, cherished military equipment, and saved fuel and lubricants.
